Avolution Lab Inaugurated

The avocado guild is in luck because Avolution Lab has been born, an open innovation hub that will work on the creation of new solutions that have avocado as a raw material and sustainability as a commitment.

Promoted by the company The Avocado Guys – with the support of the Higher School of Hospitality of Seville, Conecta Iberoamérica, the Spanish Association of Tropicals, Integral Seragro, Montealbor, CE Agencia, Eumedical, Tropical Millenium, BTM Symbiosis, Tu Super, Perseus and SaborFusion Group – it is the first global platform that integrates all the actors related to the value chain of the avocado sector in the world.

During the presentation of the experimental laboratory, located at the School of Hospitality of Seville, Enrique García Gavira, founder and CEO of The Avocado Guys, assured that “after two years of work, Avolution Lab is a reality that will work with the entire value chain, from fresh fruit to compost.”

For his part, Iñaki Echeveste, director of the Higher School of Hospitality of Seville, has stressed that “innovation, understood as any change based on knowledge that generates value is key to the School, which is why we are strongly committed to this project.”

For Yohania de Armas, director of Conecta Iberoamérica, “Avolution Lab will be a bridge between the productive sector and industry, a robust idea with a wide scope, which is already knocking on the door, and that places Seville as a vanguard city.”

From today, and with an associative vocation, Avolution Lab will carry out face-to-face and online training activities, networking sessions, business conferences, work groups and multinational projects that promote innovation, competitiveness and collaboration of this guild.

The only world hub in the avocado sector

The Avolution Lab will cover 5 areas: cultivation and production; marketing; consumption, healthy eating and nutrition; cosmetics; and research, development and innovation (R&D&I).
